At Upstate Baseball and Softball Academy we strive to provide top of the line service for students. Students will recieve one on one instruction, that allows them to focus on the skill or activity at hand. We prepare each lesson to be very beneficial to each and every student. This type of approach allows students to not get distracted, and actually apply the skill at hand. Students will be able benefit from this experience both on and off the field.
The number one way that a player will achieve his/her goal is to first actually set that goal. Then once a goal has been established, they can strive each and every lesson to achieve the goals at hand. The memories that are made both on the baseball field and the softball field will last a lifetime. Baseball and Softball can be closely related to life. We can take one day at a time and one pitch at a time. When a player loves the game at an early age, those memories that will be made playing on the field, will never be forgoton. A player can look back on his career, no matter what level of play they reached, and say "mom, dad, do you remember the times we had and the memories we made, wasn't that a special time." At the end of the day that is what it is truley about.
Pitching: Pitching lessons are very hands on. Students recieve weekly routines and homework after each lesson. The drills and mechanic work are most beneficial when students take what they have learned and apply the skills at home.
Hitting: Hitting lessons are very hands on. Students recieve a variety of different drills they can apply at home. Drills are focused on the Tee and from soft toss possitions. Players develop the proper mechanics before they jump into live BP sessions.
Fielding: Fielding lessons are very hands on. Students learn what it takes to get in proper possition to play the whole field. Drills are conducted to teach muscle memory and promote proper mechanics.
Catching: Catching techniques are very hands on. We have gathered information from pro catchers across the nation. We focus on quick release drills to second and blocking techniques on breaking pitches. Catchers are always the man in charge.
And Specifics: Any weakness a player brings forth, we can work on those things as well. Ex. shot-putting throws, no flexibility, and weak mentally...

Players from across the upstate have been coming to improve their skills and to become the best player they can be. Setting goals and reaching them are important for long term accomplishments.
Every player is treated according to their goals and desires. Youth baseball/softball and high school baseball/softball are closely distinguished.
